Hello again,
It’s been a while, we needed a bit of a break I think. But now, we’re back and following on from the huge success of the Xmas event we’ve got a new venue and a new format:
Glug events will be held every month on the last Thursday of every month at our new home Bluu Hoxton (the first event is on the 30th April). They’ve kindly given us the basement venue for the evening to use and also the main bar as an overspill. Plus we’ve got plenty of wall space to showcase work and also projection equipment for moving image and screen based artwork. Throughout 2009 we’ll be showcasing new work from new artists and agencies we like.
So, for this first event we’ve invited animation studio Mainframe to showcase new, recent and unseen work. Please note we’re also now running the events through meetup.com/gluglondon so you’ll need to RSVP for each event. There’s also a maximum number of people for these now I’m afraid so please get in quick! Music will be provided by the one and only Phat Phil Cooper, check his podcast here.
